| | Model of the car: | Mitsubishi Diamante LS | | | General comments: | I fell in love with this car the first time I saw it from behind, I knew I had to check it out. The interior on the LS blew me away, I said wow, and ran to get my wife in...The engine has lots of Torque and ample passing power. I think based on current competition, The 3.5L V6 needs to be updated, all competitors namely Acura 3.2TL, Lexus ES300, Infiniti I30 have upped the horsepower on their engines while the Mitsu remains at 210.I think this is a lot of car for the money, it has a great ride. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Some body roll during hard cornering but take that or luxurious ride cant have both. It is not very popular yet, Mitsubishi should spend more on ads on the Diamantes than the Galants. Rotors get warped, mine did at 26000 miles but they were "grind" worthy so I am not worried. The gear shift looks a bit Tacky. The front grille needs to be more upscale. | | | Previous car: | Lexus ES300, had a smoother engine but is very sexless compared to the Diamante, the ES300 is bland. The Infiniti I30 does not have the refined ride as the Diamante. |
